The National Museum of the American Indian

The American Indian Museum of Washington DC is a museum filled with artifacts, art, and weapons and tools. The museum was very interesting and there were two parts that I liked the best. I liked the American Indian legends and stories that they were playing on a loop near the exhibit about tools and wooden carved statues One of the exhibits had hand carved wooden animal statues and handmade jewelry. There was a computerized personal screen that let you zoom in on some pictures of hand carved wooden statues and jewelry.
I also liked stone and bone arrowheads. They were a few arrowheads that were made of quartz that caught my attention. There was a selection of drawers but some of the drawers were locked. Most of the drawers contained weapons of some sort. When you opened a drawer there was a glass case containing something different each time. There were two drawers just for arrowheads. Some were made of bone, some were made of quartz, and the rest were other types of stone.
I think I might enjoy going back to the museum again to see some of the exhibits that I didn’t see before. I think that some other middle school kids like us might enjoy the museums exhibits also. I would probably recommend this museum to another class group going to Washington DC. I think that some other people would enjoy the museums exhibits and artifacts also.
